An SRT file (otherwise known as a SubRip Subtitle file) is a plain-text file that contains critical information regarding subtitles, including the start and end timecodes of your text to ensure your subtitles match your audio and the sequential number of subtitles.
To add an SRT file:
1) Copy the SRT file to the same video library folder as the video you’re trying to watch. For example, if your video is in the Videos folder (located inside the Libraries folder), the SRT file must be located there as well.
2) Make sure that the SRT name matches the name of the video.
OR try with another media player... For example, VideoLAN, or VLC, is an open-source multimedia software that can playback videos and their associated SRT files.
1. Click the Windows orb and then "Computer." Navigate to the folder where the SRT file is saved. Drag and drop the file into the same folder as the video, if the subtitle and video aren't already located in the same directory.
2. Right-click the video and click "Rename." Hold down "Ctrl" and "C" to copy the file name. Don't make any changes to the video's name.
